HOURLY RATE
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- How it works
- Aetas Design charges $65/hr for all programming, design, and maintenance. The client's project will be quoted at a certain number of hours and from there the final price is estimated. Changes to the project or unforseen complications (depending on the nature of the project) can add more hours of work, but a new estimate can be provided if requested.
- Project vs Hourly
- Project and hourly rates each have pros and cons. With a project rate the client is quoted a single price tag, no more no less (as long as the project doesn't change too much). The problem is project rates tend to be quoted high to make sure the designer is fairly compensated should the project take longer than expected. In contrast, an hourly rate may not be a solid number up front, but it usually works out to be cheaper for the client because only the hours worked are billed.
- Payment plans
- We understand that it's not always easy to pay all at once, so we offer customizable payment plans. We'll work with you to provide the best payment option for your unique business. The most common payment plan is a monthly plan with equal payments.
- Don't forget the discounts
- We do offer discounts for special situations, some of which include return clients, start-up businesses, and clients who pay for multiple services. See Discounts.
- Website maintenance
- Maintenance work involves any minor changes, updates or fixes to your website. The standard discounts above do not apply to maintenance work, but we can work with you to meet your needs; for example, often we will offer prepaid hourly plans or monthly maintenace contracts to guarantee any future help you may need while saving a bit of money.
